My 3 piece bingham designed recurve is coming in about 10 pounds on the heavy side. The limb thickness is right on with the limb charts from binghams web site. This is my first recurve build, so I'm looking for advice from more experience bowyers on how to reduce the weight. I'm thinking of sanding the fiberglass and / or narrowing the limbs (they are 2" now).

Thanks for your advice!

Jered, I would narrow the limbs (say to 1.75") and then round the edges and I think you can achieve your desired weight.  On a recent bingham 60" recurve I built, I did the same and rounded the edges heavily and reduced the weight from 53 to 45.

What Brad said, and I think you will like the 1.75 recurve better anyway......
Stay sharp, Kenny.
