Have an osage stave I've been working on it is 71'' ntn I would like it a little shorter. I have about a 28 1/2" draw, how short can I go shooting for 50-55 lbs. Was thinking about 60" not sure though. thanks

60" should be easy with osage if you tiller correctly.

60" with a rigid handle is tough for a longer draw.  Tiller must be spot on and really circular, bending right up to the handle for a comfortable draw.  Keep the tips a bit stiff or even flip them a bit to reduce stack.
Now, if you make the handle bend, it's a great length.

I'd recommend 64" for a rigid handle bow.
Take a kid hunting!

-good advice John... I like a 62" osage bow with my 28" draw... 64" should be perfect for your draw...
