Tapered lams

On tapered lams do they get smaller towards the ends of the bow. and how do i put 2 tapers together to get the lenght of my bow

They get thinner toward the end of the lam.  usually .001 ro .002 per running inch.  The tapers change where and how the limb bends, and distribute the stress.

They get thinner toward the end of the lam.  usually .001 or .002 per running inch.  The tapers changes where and how the limb bends, and distribute the stress.  That is a very simple reason for there use, or at least that is the way I have always felt.  Others may have different ideas, which is good, listen to everyone.
