If you have a Osage stave and can't get it down to one ring, can you just back it with something? What would you guys suggest?

Thanks

hey ranger,

bamboo and hick would work fine. i´ve built both, and they´re nice shooters. use the hick quarter-sawn about 1/8" thick. the same thickness for the boo.

good luck!!

ps: glue it up with a little reflex to avoid set!

in past even the future was better, so what do you want?

If the rings are thin and your having a hard time chasing one, Rawhide will do.

I'd go with rawhide for a simple selfbow. Just the kind I like!
