If you could only have one??

Thanks for the replies fellas. I know, it's a situation we never want to be put in and I suppose every time we buy a new one we think it's going to be the ONE- if there is such a thing. Anyone else have any opinions?

Also, where is a good place to try out bows(conventions/expos and such) in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area during the summer and fall? Thanks, Matt

66" reflex-deflexed longbow in the 60-65 pound range with a leather wrapped locater grip. Probably a bunch of them out there will do. I currently have a Big River that fits the bill very nicely.

Thank goodness in real life I can have more cause I also like a few other bows as well.

Its gotta be the DAS Kinetic Master, no matter what I would be hunting it could be adjusted to handle, its like the "swiss army knife of archery" HEY DAVE I SAID THAT FIRST!!!!! if you want to use it as a slogan you have to give me a discount or at least a T-shirt LOL.

I almost accidently bought a new Mosshorn from Wes Martin on Ebay. The reason I bought it was I was curious about that style of bow (Super Shrew, Mosshorn, Griffin/McCullough) and didn't want to wait or spend a bunch to try one. The bow turned out to be quiet and accurate and fun to shoot. I'm currently saving up to buy a Shrew or Griffin. The Mosshorn would stay on as my backup bow (who knows, maybe my primary bow).

The Mosshorn is the only bow I currently shoot. It is 58", 46# @ 28" and a very nice bow. I suspect Wes Martin has stopped making them.

I have to admit to being tempted by the new metal risered super bows. I would really love to try one.

I would have to choose a Fedora 560. It would have to be a 54 pounder at 28" and 60" long. This is going to be my only bow forever, so it can't be pretty, I'd hate myself if I dinged, scratched, or marred it up, so I guess I would choose a wood that isn't too fancy for the riser but would like to have five lam bamboo limbs. I've had this bow before and traded it, I'm still kicking myself.

I shoot best with my Silvertips, but I would choose one of my Robertson recurves simply to honor Dick as a friend and for all he has done for trad bowhunting.

Only have two bows now and like em both. But my fav would be my Toelke t-d recurve at 56". I asked that it be made of all local woods to my state. We settled for a walnut handle with juniper veneers covering maple cores. Sweet.

My "One" will be here in October. Super Shrew, 55#@26 and 56 long. Autumn brown,with my name on it. I've wanted one of these for a long time and it will be "the one" for a very long time after.

Arwin, you know that Super Shrew is going to be WAY to heavy for you. I'm willing to help you out and take it off your hands (grin).

I just don't have the patience to wait a year to get a bow. Heck, I don't have the patience to wait three months!

I sure do like that style of bow.

They are nice bows. I shot one at the Kalamazoo Expo. They zing an arrow and are pretty quiet. I want to upgrade to the Chameleon but the wife says "NO". :rolleyes: It looks awesome and would blend in to the woods well.

The one bow i will never let go of. Palmer 62" 53# @ 29"."Sweetness" Got her over ten years ago, my first & only custom bow. Boy did I make the right choice. IMO

My 3 Rivers Dalaa by DAS Kinetics. At present I have a set of Hoyt G3 long 42# limbs on it. I have a set of Samick Extreme medium limbs at 42# and a set of Win&Win Winex medium limbs at 42# on order. Hope to receive both sets of limbs within the next month or so. I have the one Dalaa riser and will just decide which limbs and probably end up with a lighter set of the limbs I settle on for 3D.

Why? It is the most accurate shooting bow I've had the privilege of shooting. The SRF sight provides a great frame of reference, albeit it is not a sight pin perse.

You said it TRB! Palmer Classic 60", 51# @ 26", carbon limbs. Fast, accurate, quiet and absolutely dead in the hand - couldn't ask for more!
But I'm sure glad I don't have to settle for just one!
