Hey Gang,
if you could only have one bow to use for the rest of your life to hunt all the game you will hunt what would it be(make, weight, length, etc...) and why? Let me know what you think.  Cheers, Matt

That's easy RER Little River longbow. 52#@28"-56" I draw 29" so she is 55# at my draw.Smooth and sweet.<><

Mine would be my Saluki Scythian, its 52" and 49#@28. It is one bow I will never sell.

Man that is a tough question, but I am going to say a Super Shrew Hunter Classic 54"@29" draw at at 55lb pull.  If I only had to choose one!

That's like saying if you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would you choose. Sure you could stay alive, but what fun is it just being alive?

Me too  :bigsmyl:

I covet too many bows...mainly ones with great checkering...

Same one I've been hunting and shooting tournaments with the past 10+ years--66", 66@30.5" Chek-Mate Crusader longbow.

Ghost Dog

A well made osage selfbow from John Strunk or Eric Krewson. That, and my Cedar Ridge back quiver filled with POC fletched with turkey, and my American Leathers bracer. Heaven on earth for me.

I'm with Vance on this one....you sir need to stop what you are doing and seek help immediately. Only one bow? It must be a very high fever.....  ;)

Did just that...Great Northern Bushbow Jackknife takedown, 62", 57# @ 26";  actually have two: one with hickory limb cores, the other with osage cores (gotta have a back-up...right?).  Gettin' ready to unload everything else; need to finance a Kifaru tipi...

I own a few other bows (not Crusaders), have one or order for myself (Crusader take-down), and have owned and shot several different bows since I got my Crusader.  It's just "the" bow for me--I've shot some really nice ones, but even the best of those didn't quite measure up.

If it's any consolation, I shoot my osage selfbow occasionally--even got a few dust collectors on the wall from the Jerry Pierce and Howard Hill shoots using it, but still.......it ain't my Crusader.

Chad

Shape Shifter

Shoot...thats like asking my wife to only own 1 pair of shoes...highly unlikely...For me it would be a toss up between my Bear Grizzly "the workhorse" or my Longhorn Classic Takedown.
