Here's a hinge takedown I just finished. 62",50#@27" I'm happy with the way it turned out.Easier to make then a sleeve handle.I made the bow from a stave and cut it in half!!

KENDALL TECHAU

Ooops, she's 64", no string follow.

bjansen

Nice one Kendall!  That snakeskin overlay looks great.

Roconman

in the old days religion had it's use to keep nations together. Today, religion tears nations apart.

Kendoll maybe its my inexperience, but doesn't the idea of a hinge scare ya some?  Or is it that solid?

KENDALL TECHAU

I've never had any problem with them, made several, one's over 15 years old.Just use the right screws, drill pilot holes. You want to make a bow that doesn't bend in the handle.

Looks good.Bigcounty i've did a couple hindges also and if done right there solid.

Cool bow and very good tiller. I like the idea of the hinge. I have tried other takedown methods but not a hinge.
