I made these 6 hill cane arrows to use at the Tenn. Classic at the first of May. They are self nocked with sinew wrap sealed with super glue. The points are made with 16d common nails with a blob of brass braised on the nail head and shaped and the shank inserted in the hole in the cane. These points are glued in with TBIII.
Five of the arrows are 2 fletched and one is 3 fletched. My 2 fletching is evolving and with this set I burned the feather profile shorter and added about 3" of fletch tape to the center of each before sinew wrapping fore and aft. This has quieted the fletching down completely.
  Simple but effective!

Nice arras Pat, what's the trick with the two fletch? Looks like you put a lot of helical in em. I used to use those screw in field points, they worked pretty good if they were the right diameter.

Dano, I put about 90deg of helical on 2 fletched arrows. Try it with standard, pre cut feathers. Should work just fine.
With the right diameter hole you can use screw in heads too. A friend came up with the "nail" points and they work very well.

Here you go, Dano. These are 2 different kind of target points that Kenneth came up with for "primitive" arrows. The "nail" point and a rectangle of steel that is inserted into a shaft and shaped into a point. I was using the latter on hardwood shoot shafts but tried it on cane and with a hardwood dowel glued in first before the slot is cuts and it works just as well.
