Hi - you all have inspired me to build my first osage selfbow and I now have it done and looking good(at least to me)

I finished sanding it this weekend and have started coating with Truoil.

My question is what should I do to affix the arrow rest.

I thought I saw a build along where someone used leather and built up the rest but I can't find it. I have seen some flipper style leather rests before and am concerned about them not staying put.

Any advice on what's worked for you and what hasn't...pics would be awesome too!

Thx.

Here are 2 bows with bulbous handles and a Floppy Rest. I also pack out the back of the handle with leather similar to John. I have made arrow rest like John's but now prefer the Floppy.

Next is a ELB style bow I made for Huntsman Lance, also with a Floppy.

And finally my latest bow with a bulbous handle and a Floppy rest.

The wrap on the snake skin backed bow is rattan and the others are hemp cord set in Massey finish; a new favorite also.
