antler scales???

I have a buck alpha folder with rubber scales,was wondering if someone could make some antler scales for the knife???
HH Cheetah 66in. 48lb at 25in.
HH HalfBreed 66in. 57lb. at 27in.
HH Wesley Special  56lb. at 26in..
HH Big 5          64lb. at 28in.
HH Wesley Special 55lb. at 28in.

you can.  Just take your time.  It is not all that tough to do with an already complete knife and old scales to use as a pattern.  The tough part w antler(for me anyway) is that is does not come in uniform sizes so finding enough that is flat and has the appearance you are after is the biggest challenge.  Cut them thinner than you think you need and remove material from the inside out.  If not you end up with a really fat handle or worse, sanding all the character off the outside.

To be honest, you won't find many knife makers that will rehandle an existing knife.  You ought to give Bobby's suggestion some thought.  You could get the materials for probably $20-$30 and do it yourself with a drill, a couple of files, and a couple sheets of sandpaper.  Another option that would remedy the problem he mentioned about antler scales not being flat is to use jigged cow bone.  You can get it dyed various colors and it would start out pretty symmetrical which would make the fitting much simpler.  I also like the look of smooth polished cow bone.
