Sometimes you just have to come back a few times to have another look-see.
That thing is cool. Love the blue ivory,is it stained or natural?
Karl,about the gem, do you mean on the post side or flush side of the stud? That would be cool.
Does it have a blade lock??

I would think a knife like this would make cutting chores take abit longer,everytime you whip that thing out to do some cutting,you would have to admire it and smile alot and  feel it  in your hand. The careful like wipe it down and stick back in your pocket or sheath.

some touch-up work   :eek:   (Ethel is knifes name)

Thanks Chuck,  Believe me the Ivory is real(natural).I really don't know if you can buy imitation Mamoth Ivory.
Yes it is called a liner lock and part of the liner slides over and locks the blade while in use.
The thumb stud is imitation diamond (cz)
I will make one with better stones soon.

Acually Chuck there is no difference in this folder than any other just get it out and use it,it is a tool first,and it took a good edge.It had COMPLETE heat treatment like all my knives.(Refer to some of Karl's posts )
It just happened to turn out pretty.Every now and then even a blind sqirrel finds a nut.LOL

Thanks Kevin, I guess what I ment was is the blue color natural or did you stain the ivory. I hope I didn't imply that you would have put a flase front on a fantastic knife like that. I am just amazed at how the Ivory can have so many different colors to it. I don't doubt she works just perfectly,but I would still have to feel it and smile for abit each time I used it

I really don't know all that much about ivory, yet, Chuck and what you said didn't bother me at all.
I just mean I have never heard of dying it.
I know that one  reason for all the different colors are the different soil types it lays in for thousands of years.
I really think there are many reasons for the different colors,but I can't talk because of lack of knowledge.
Some colors are more rare than others and they cost more. LOL
