Hello, This is another polished D2 blade with antler capped East Indonesian Rosewood. I think dark reddish purple rosewood with polished pale cream colored antler offers a nice contrast. Please let me know of what you think.

I think it looks very cool and I'm guessing it would feel good in my hand too!!!

Oldpaths,  Yes, the handle fits "right in there". I round-off all exposed tang metal at the handle area so that there are no "flats" present on all handle surfaces. This makes for a great "feel" when you grasp the handle. Regards, Mike O.

Another beauty.  I am looking forward to meeting you at the show in Eugene and get a chance to get a close up look at your knives.

NIce knife Mike, really like the overlay. what grit do you take your knives to get the mirror finsh, your's look very clean, i normaly take mine to 1000 to 1500 then buff it.

Dana, I get down to 1200 grit belt on my contact wheel and then go to a well-worn 1200 grit belt with grease. I then hand polish the blade with Norton 3/0, and then to 4/0 polishing paper, then I finish with the buffing wheel. My goal is to try to achieve mirror finish with least amount of buffing wheel use so that I don't buff out the sharp transition corners between the hollow ground surface and the flats. Regards,  Mike O.
