Thank you all for the kind words, it means a lot.    :notworthy:
I've only been making knives for about 5 months, and only nights and weekends at that. I'm just trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible from all the amazing makers here and on other forums.

It is a mustard patina. If you would like I can describe my process in detail.   :)

Ben, with the mustard patina do you apply the mustard on the blade and just let it sit overnight or is there more to it? and does it have to be "Grey Poupon"  Lol

What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.

I use plain yellow mustard. after you are completely done sanding the blade, just dab on a thin layer with your finger tip in a pattern you like. I let it sit at least 5hrs but longer is fine. Then wash it off.

That knife with the redwood burl handle may be the most attractive knife I've ever seen.  You're a true artist!

The more I look at it, the more I like the redwood handled knife also. The pattern on the blade catches my eye.
