I see many of you with a hole through your handles and it looks like a bushing of some kind.  What is it and where do you get them?

I usually use a piece of aluminum arrow shaft.

They are just brass, nickel, copper or steel tubing that you can buy at knifemaker supply houses or even at some hobby shops.  They usually come in 12" lengths.  You install them like you would a pin.

Just go to your local hardware store.  They carry them in the metals section.  The big box stores don't always have them but the old style hardware stores will.
