If you guys remember I posted a blade I cracked in heat treatment a month or so ago,I saw it laying on the bench the other day said what the hec so I cut it off reground  put a guard on it and a piece of wood off our farm that I had stabilized.
Thought it would be a good time to practice on new handle design and played around a little. This knife could never be sold but it will work good in my pick-up as a hunting knife(it is a real cutter)
It started as a 10.5" blade nowits
6.5" blade 11.5 OA
stainless fittings
cedar wood
Here is pic of it broke and then reground
Thanks for looking!!Critisism welcome

The only critisism I can see is that you wont ever sell it.

Nice save.
Next time I'm over at your house show me where you got that wood!

When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Kevin, nice to see you back, in fine style I might add too!

As Karl said "nice save" indeed!

Great looking knife, and that cedar is very unusual!  It reminds me of polished cow horn, like used for a powder horn!  I like it!
