last sunday i started knapping a blade from a piece of mahogany obsidian and i finished it through the week. i also played around with a piece of water buffulo horn to use for a handle. today i hafted the blade to the handle with pine pitch and sinew and made a little sheath from kangaroo hide that i tanned myself with wattle bark. it is stitched with sinew.
it's primitive throughout!

a nice little project comes to an end.......it's now waiting to skin something.

Nice.  Did you heat up that horn and mold it to fit the knife blade or something?  Cannot tell for sure but it looks like it bends in on the sides a little to grip the blade.

neutron- no the handle is solid horn. i just sanded it to shape to fit the blade. there was actually another couple of inches of solid horn that i cut of before the horn started getting hollow.
