Elk horn Knife(home made)My first

Got board a couple of weeks ago & decided to make a knife.Its a first for me.

Trying to figure out how to buff the Elk horn out & the brass.I think Im going to try jewelers ruge on the buffing wheel.

Well...what good is a knife without a blade?  Does this one have one?      Can we see?

The blade is from an old military knife I found at a antique store.

Nice JOB! Rick Ihave used rouge on elk antler and it does polish it.but it also leaves black lines in the cracks.I personaly like the look of it.
If You put finish on super glue  will work use a plastic glove and rub with your finger to apply. You can then polish out with fine steel wool or a scotch brite pad. Also  good ventilation is very important when applyin super glue.

Would the super glue be OK on the inlay.& how thick.How many coats of super glue.Thanks alot I would never have guessed on super glue as a handle finish....Makes sense

I like super glue on porous wood .  Then sanding it down & buffing brings out a nice shine.  Plus it is fast finish if you are impatient to see results...maybe I'm a little ADD  

But it tends to cloud up the hard surfaces like the Bear coin...just buffing every thing should work fine.  tippit
