Just wondering if anybody is aware of any bladesmithing workshops in the Wisconsin/Minnesota/Michigan area... or anywhere in the midwest I guess.  I'm looking for something geared towards introductory material.

Thanks!

You certainly do live in God's Country, Scott.
I do not know of anything up that-a-way.
But there will be when I move to Ely!
I'm going to create a Knife Maker's Retreat!
You heard it here first.
You should offer up some knife photography for us knife makers!

Movin' to Ely eh? I just applied for a job up there! Gonna be a lot of competition though, so I'm not making any plans yet.

Well... keep me in the loop when you get up there!

I take it you saw my website? Do I have that listed somewhere?

But... yes. I could teach a lot about close up photography.. which is all that it takes for good knife photography. And good lighting.

But I would be willing to travel a little bit for a workshop... Where is a good source to find about stuff like that... ABS I assume....

Anyway... Thanks!

ABS would be a good place to start.
Actually, if you joined, you would start getting info on ABS sanctioned hammer-ins and events.
Gets you in the loop.
Your website is listed on your profile.

Thanks guys.... I haven't been too active with the picture taking lately (except for taking pictures of my 1 year old)... not since I've been obsessed with making longbows and (now) knives... but it's all art in my opinion.  But I will always have my camera when I travel.

Thanks again!
