I was just wondering if someone could help me out with a leather and superglue handle.Should I epoxy the first layer of leather and superglue all the rest,or do I epoxy all layers of leather? Thanks for any help  Harry

Not sure what you mean by "layer"?
Are you doing a "stacked" leather handle?

I have no experience with this.

I assume you are doing a full tang knife. I don't have any experience either, but I think you would epoxy the first layer and super glue the rest. Here is  a link from the buildalong forum to a longbow leather handle that uses the technique you are talking about. I've thought about doing it for a knife, but haven't tried it. It looks really cool.

Be sure to learn to post pictures and show us how it loks. I think you will have some others try it also. Mike

You could always just super glue on the first layer... I would recommend drilling a bunch of tiny holes to help hold it on. I made a knife with a leather handle this way and it seems to stay on fine.

Superglue works well for the first layer.  An all leather handle works fine for a hidden tang as well.  I was fortunate enough to do some cutting tests with a bladesmith's BIG blade... he surprised me with that leather handle.  It cut and handled like a dream too  :D
