Thanks for the compliments.  I did the scrimshaw. In fact, those are the first two I've done.

Izzy,

I have a really sharp pointed wood carving knife.  I just carefully used the tip of it like I was writing with a pencil.  A pin vise with a sewing needle would be more ideal though.

The knives are really great!  Did you free hand the scrimshaw?

First I free hand a sketch with pencil on the handle and then I follow my sketch with the knife.
