Well OTTO some people may not have the big coin to pay for a randall. So some have to get by with a less costly knife.Gotta make due with what ya can afford. BTW ya do have some awesome knives.<><

Wow...Ray...that first stone blade knife you have posted is the nicest knife I have ever seen.  a four figure knife for sure...I'd like a poster of that for my house.  I hope you display it at home

Sorry for the confucsion I may have caused...

I hate CHEAP knives.  That's different from INEXPENSIVE!!!!  And there's nothing wrong with a good inexpensive knife.  Perfect example...There's a lot of deer been dressed with $29.95 Buck 110's.

this is my new favourite knife; I have wanted a Grohmann #1 for years. I was presented with it after the deerhunt that I hosted in Oct.
I have yet to dress some game with it but I love the simple lines, intuitive design and the way it balances in my hand.
A real nice knife and not hard to look at either! BD

Handmade
You can pick many features, custom knife
High Quality
Expensive (although not too bad)
Limited quantity available (Randall will not sacrifice handmade methods or quality)
Long waiting list (5 years)

Due to above, the moment your knife arrives you can sell it for double on ebay.  There are a few distributors that have a ready, yet limited, supply of brand new Randall's but they too are priced about double the Randall catalog price.

Result:
The mystique continues....
Many of them never get used as knives but simply sit in collections
