THIS KNIFE?One of you guys made this and posted it. I need to know who and what ya made it from. very cool knife. thanks<><

the word unique comes to mind.

unfortunately it wont take many sharpenings with the pits so close to the edge
anything can happen on a texas friday night, if you dont mind your manners you dont mind a fight

But who made it and what did he make it from? As for sharping if it's done right you won't need to sharpen it that much.<><

no clue who made it but looks like some VERY old saw blade or farm scrap that was blued. guard probably iron looks like it was welded. and handle looks to be amboyna (sp?) burl

Wow where did you find it Stick? I would like to know also. Looks like a worker!

Stic,  Is that a full tang?  Is the guard an add on or part of the original piece of steel?  Can you take a close up picture of the guard?  It appears to be just raw forged with very little grinding.  The hole in the blade may have been in the steel scrap before forging or punched in and allowed to be burnt on subsequent heats.  Now that you have your forge & anvil, shouldn't be too hard to copy...Doc

Guys someone osted this on here awhile back I do not have the knife. He said he made it from some kind of farm tool or somthing.<><
