Hello,

I am planning on building a neck knife this weekend. I would like to see some pictures of neck knives that yall own or have made.

Please let me know why you like the design that you post.
I made a neck knife about a month ago, but I dont think the blade design is practical.

Thanks

Hey Texas Tommy,
here you go...

A little cocobollo 02 steel necker I built:

Black and white ebony necker made from a bare blade:

My knife swap knife I recieved this year, a Helle polar blade:

Last years contribution to the knife swap, a cold steel bird and trout that I installed a bocote and mule deer antler on:

And I can't seem to find a picture of it, but I have a small trade knife quite like the top trade knife here...

Those are sweet!
Is there any particular blade style you like the best for a necker? Do you use your necker for gutting, skinning etc.?

i really really like the top necker
what are the specs on  it
looks like it would feel real good in the hand
and be really usefull all around
thanks kevin

i prefer these styles with a blade about 1/8 inch thick and hollow ground.  there's not much you can't skin with a good necker!

Here's a few of mine. All are 5-1/2" overall, 1/8" carbon steel. Brilliant little all rounders!

Jeffro, that pic doesn't show the mirror polish that you put on that bloody sharp blade!

And here it is, made safe!

Some really cool knives there alright. Mr ElkNinja that ebony one is a dandy! Also that top one of yours to Jeff, a good design I bet.

I almost always have a knife around my neck - either this one from sticshooter:

Or this one from Robtattoo:

Both are great knives, but the one from Frank just fits my hand a little bit better.
