Seems most of us where back in camp mid afternoon. With stories from the days hunts. The picnic table was the center of conversation. Sassie, Curtis's new little Jack Russell. Also made her self the center of attention. I was trying to figure out how to get her in my carry on! What a great personality she has.

Curtis won't just give her up!

Ya know not all the great guys in camp where hunters. Some of them look like this, Rick Savage I'm so sorry not to have gotten a picture of you somehow. As you belong here also.

This character is Gary Keller NOT MISTER KELLER. As thats his dad!

Curtis,Gary and Rick made this all possiable. And we thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.

awesome pics! Keep em coming. I have had the pleasure of hunting with 4 of the guys in the G-2 group, and you find and better.

Now i have a question, Who is the hippy posing as Bob Walker, and did he get lost in the dark during the hunt?   :saywhat:

Man, the fishing was a blast! Larry & I spent all of Wednesday morning tramping up & down the Pecos looking for Carp & Gar. We saw some real pigs in the river, but they were either just too far off, or we just plain missed 'em  :D

I remember one little incedent on the Friday night, before the hunt. Me, Larry, Vance & Walt were all sat in Vance's Motel room in Del Rio, justvisitin' & shootin' the breeze & the conversation got round to bowfishing. I seem to recall Larry saying something about Zebco reels.... I'd mentioned that I'd got a Retreiver 'cause it was so simple. No buttons to press before the shot. If I recall correctly, the next line was " Man, y'all gotta be real stoopid to forget to press the button. An' even if ya do, your drag should be set right anyways "

Cut back to Wednesday..... Larry's drawing down on a nice carp..........TWANG....  :biglaugh:
He ain't living this down!

Here's my result from the fishin' anyway...

Apparently it's a Telapia (?)

The next fish I had a shot at was a Hog of a carp. Managed to nick it in the tail. Well that ol' hoss just ran clear off with my arrow, ran all the line out from the reel & busted up the line at the slider knot! We reckoned it must've been around the 40-50 pound mark! Last I saw of it, it was heading towards Mehico with 2' of white fibreglass sticking up like a mast!

I did get an excellent opprotunity to shoot one of the bighorn Rams as well.

I'd made a really great stalk up on this monster. Working my way through all the surrounding cover & brush, got up to within, oooh, around 8 feet but just had to pass on the shot.....

I don't think the folks at Cabelas in Buda would've been too impressed to see a yard o' arra hanging out of their diarama!

Here's a quick pic of Rick (MAN! try saying that after a dozen Tecates!)

Game-skinner extrordinaire & one of the nicest fellas you'd ever want to meet. 100% Pure Texas Gentleman.....

He taught me a helluva lot about Southern culture (Coffee 'til noon, water til One, beer til bedtime)  :D

I'm trying to swing it at the moment Jeff, yes! Bob's invited me over for a whitetail hunt & mentioned that you were flying over in October. I thought it may be nice if I could try & get over at the same time, make it a 3-continent hunt! (If that's OK with you, don't want to step on any toes)

Big Ron's luggage seems to have decided to go on safari on it's own.  :bigsmyl:

Anything to keep a SWEATER in the game.

Gary and Curtis refused to play.....Something about they were rationing as it was

LOL, Sounds like a fun time.  Glad to see the Commonwealth was well represented, even if a tad under-dressed.  Wolfman, we should try to do a tradgang gathering while you are in ol' Virginny.  I live about an hour away from Bob, I'm trying to get him to come cut some osage with me but we haven't been able to get our schedules to align.

Thanks Rob! Zebco Reels SUCK!!!!! I ordered a retriever as soon as I got home. Too many moving parts on the Zebco for my little pea brain to handle I guess!

Here's some more pic's to feast your eye's upon.
