That tatoo was from a shirt made for last year's  hunt. Damon should post a pic. of the shirt as well, you will be impressed with how close they are. Just talked to Curt and he should be posting stuff in a little while. Kathy better get her butt going too, as she has photos that are pieces of art. I went to a local archery shop today to pick up some field points and the owner and a buddy attended, they joined TG about two weeks ago, mario the owner summed it up pretty well when he said "I have seen and been part of a lot of things in my life, but never have I seen so many people surround a piece of cover and others come out bloody and still have so much fun. It was the best hunt I have been on in my life!!" OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn

Here is the beginning of the 2008 Joan Leonard Memorial Bunny Hunt, this is the "range" at about 8 am on Saturday morning......if it looks cold it's because it is!



How things change......two hours later, the "Gauntlet" prepares to shoot the running rabbit......



The kids and parents/Grandparents....(didn't forget you Lee), just before we start on the kids hunt.....

Here is "The Kids Team Pink" shooters lined up for the first push of the kids hunt, my son Hunter, Justin, Emily and at the far end is Becky, all ready to go.......I wish you could all see the video of this one as Adam, who was below Hunter shot so many arrows that he ran out and had to reload!!!!!



Here is Justin on the second kid's push, you think he was ready? Look at the arrow ready to go just in front of him........



And here is Hunter at the ready on the same push....realize we are on a trail here, and you can get an idea of how thick it is.....

Here is one of the "Official" group pics right before the hunt proper started......somehow we managed to do this without Killy in the picture....I know there are many pics of her that will be in this thread, but we messed up here.....Kathy it was a pleasure to meet and hunt with you, thank you for the opportunity...



Here is a part of the crew as we start into the first hedgerow along the airport fence, that is Ken and Chuck to the left.......within 30 yards of this picture the first rabbit was kicked out, I was putting my camera away when it almost ran into me, I tried to kick it with my left foot and missed at a distance of 8".......



Shortly after that I jumped into the hedgerow to kick a couple of piles, I had to throw my bow out to Chuck when it got too thick, when I came out this is what I looked like, and this was just the begininng......

Anyone who has seen Bob shoot would not have bet against him this weekend. Those rabbits quake in their shoes when they hear deadeye Bob The bunny whacker is in town!

Our first true hunt on Saturday was at the "Island of Trees".......last year we killed four or five out of there and this is where three committed suicide by running into a well full of water and drowning!!......To quote Joe Skipp, "I can't make this **** up!"......Not many pictures from here as I was running the video, but I was between Tyler and Adam, there were rabbits everywhere......including the one that almost ran over Tyler's feet......he missed at three feet, something that happened often over the weekend......here is one that didn't get away, how's that for shot placement....

 

I'll let some others post some pics, my last couple are at the end of Rabbit Valley at the end of the day.......

I saw David bleeding from the nose and thought nothing of it. But when the petroglyphs appeared on his head, I had him take a bow. I took a head shot.
