Well last saturday, a day before my week of hunting was up, it all came together on a buck.

It was a great ending to a great week, perfect weather, lots of action, and just great all around campin'

Took him with a 58" Shrew Samarai, GT 3555 w/ 100 grn brass insert and 150 grain Razorcaps.

Hope all have a great season.

Now for them elk!!!

Congratulations, O/U!  That's a dandy!

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Ok, the story...
It was about 9:30ish in the morning, still hunting through some aspens, came up over a small rise, to a sage brush bench, and jumped him from his bed. He took a few steps, stopped and turned to look at me. I drew, and as the arrow was in flight(looked to be on a string for his goodies) he took a few steps to leave, and I hit him a bit back. I had a decent blood tail that disappeared after about 100 yrds. Jumped him a few yards ahead, and he down a small hill into a small stand of aspens. I waited him out, snuck(a real hunting word) down the hill, and finished him with a second arrow.

Here is one of packing him out
