Thanks so much, all of you. It Really was/is a feather in my cap. I have the story (with some corrections of spelling - not the ones I misspell on purpose) posted on Journal, Pg7 and pics on Gallery, Pg12 of my personal web site now - Please check it out there too - along with the New Section on "Traditional Bows Drawn" - Thanks.

No doubt about the practice paying off, Mc (and Rod), in confidence is perhaps the most beneficial to hunting situations - IMO. The main thing I don't like about hunting season (and cold/inclement weather) is I don't get to practice as much and/or shoot as much. Hard to fit it all in - especially when i stay more tired -   "[dead]"    :D

Ber, try to hunt the area just to the left of the main gate as you come in.  I think the day care used to be just to the left after you go in the gate.  Go past that to the pump house and hunt the area between tthat and the main road.  I drove that area about 20 years ago for my pard who took one of the nicest 8 pts ever-nobody ever hunted that area and it had the right mix of bucks and does.  I also scored often in FA area from Piney Green road.  Great shooting and an amusing story-thanks for sharing.

Congratualtions, Bernie.    That's a beautiful deer that topped off a special hunt!
