Actually Mickey that is the exit hole. Shot went in on the other side midway and angled forward and out making that hole, low and tight, made for a pretty good blood trail even with the rain once I got on the correct trail.

BAD UNCLE HAS THE ADDRESS 420 FARENHOLT, TAMUNING GAUM 96913. ARE THEY CLOSE? CLOSE THE ISLANDS ONLY LIKE 32 MILES IN ANY DIRECTION IS IT NOT? NO PIGS HERE IN THE BACK YARD BUT THERE IS A DOE AND TWO FAWNS RIGHT NOW. THURSDAY MORNING I WATCHED TWO SMALL BUCKS, A VERY SMALL 8 POINT AND A SPIKE MAYBE 4 POINT PUSH EACH OTHER ALL OVER ABOUT 1 ACRE OF THE BACK 10 FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. THEY WHERE REALLY TESTING ONE ANOTHER. AND IT WAS REALLY NEAT TO WATCH THEM DO THERE THING.

hormoan,

Ya don't have to yell,LOL. Typing in all caps is equivilant to yelling. 420 Farenholt is in Tumon and sounds like a Hotel addy. Actually I would prefer deer in the jungle behind my house, much better eating.

Any big spiders are attention getters. I remember on Oahu when they burned the sugar cane fields. Cane spiders everywhere. Up behind Pearl in Aiea(sp) spiders out the ying yang. God hit.

hormoan

Sorry did not mean to yell, soulds like you do have some deer. What type are they? Are they something native, or a import?

Great job Danny.  I spent a little time in Guam while in the Navy and also hunted in Hawaii for hogs and the conditions are similiar, miss hunting in the wet jungle. Just something about that terrain that takes you back in time.

No problem Brent,LOL

Yes we have Sambar deer here which were brought over from the Philipines by the Spanish several hundered years ago. Very tough hunt. Have seen a few, but have not killed one in a while. If they bust ya they have a very loud alarm bark and it will scare the you know what out of ya if you do not see them.

Hey thats a good thing them being there that is. They are a beautful deer, I imagine its hard hunting period in the jungle. Never been in one expect for TV shows. I have a whitetail doe and her twins 100 yds out the back door right now. They are feasting on a couple dozen ears of corn. I don't bait them to hunt them, only to watch them. They are such a joy to watch interact, more so in the woods. But the picture window is almost as good! Our archery deer season opens a week from today. Can hardly wait!
