Hmmmm Pinecone and Sylvie, if the instructions of: "suck, instead of blow - as if you are trying to light a pipe" don't help, try "suck on it, like sipping on a straw". Repetative, short, little sucks until you produce squeeks of some sort, kind of like a kissing action (and sound). Then you can keep working at it and extending it until you have a series of yelps -

. Then you can go try to call/kill a Turkey - :D

... and you can controll the volume and distance by opening and closing your cupped hands (more practice). Hope this helps - I hate the thought of silent wingbone calls sitting around out there, and folks possibly popping their eardrums (or eyeballs) by trying to blow instead of suck :D .
