We experienced the greatest tragedy that has ever happened to us all. Wednesday morning my daughter had contractions.... Her baby was due the day after tomorrow. When she arrived at the er the Dr could not find my granddaughters heartbeat.... She had died..... I prayed and begged God to take my life and let her live.... I'm beside myself..   I'm spiritually empty....  Why a little baby girl.... I held her in my arms and would given my life right then and there to hear her cry and open her eyes as mine closed....

Craig,

I cannot begin to understand the full level of your grief.  I can only attest that there is no solace in questioning the "why?"

God doesn't bring evil into our lives, it's a fallen world since the Garden and bad stuff happens to good people.

The Good News is that Christ made up for it all with his ultimate sacrifice, but not in this life, but the next.

Christ said, "Suffer the little children to come onto me..."  You baby granddaughter is now sitting on Christ's lap, staring lovingly up into those merciful eyes of His.

We will too, someday.  We will never know the reasons for the "why" till we stand before God made perfect in our NEW LIFE.

His will is perfect and His knowledge is omniscient.  The finite cannot comprehend the infinite. Don't try.

May God's peace that passes all understanding keep your entire family in Christ's hands as you weather this storm of grief!

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Prayers for God's comfort and always remember God is the source of all good. The thief comes to kill and destroy but Jesus came to give life and it more abundantly.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Mmmm, I feel for you buddy. Kids are precious, little newborns even more so. I remember asking God to let me feel the pain-sickness instead of my kids when they were going thru tough times. It didn't happen though. I had to put my trust and faith in God that things would be ok, and they were.

Don't let this put a weak spot in your faith, grab ahold of God and let him know you really need him now, just as the rest of your family does.

With God you can be strong through this Craig, and you have to be for your daughter and family.  I will be praying for you here in Pa.

                                                Be strong,
                                                           Craig

Craig,
You have my deepest sympathy and prayers for your loss. I never could understand such things of this nature. I pray for the Lord to give you, your daughter and family strength during this difficult time. I know it must be truly hard but please try to be strong for your family my friend. They need you now more then ever!!

Thank you gentlemen..... Your words, prayers and faith hold me up. When someone my age or older dies it hurts but is to be expected.  Burying a grandchild is ....... Something I never thought I would do. I'm gonna stop trying to figure it out as I know she is with Jesus.... And my people already there back to the beginning....Thank you

That's the spirit, Craig! Hoosiers can handle anything!

I continue to mourn your grief, but am encouraged to see your attitude. Even Jesus cried when his friend, Lazarus, died.  It's only right to mourn the passing of others...

Good view that your baby is being rocked in the arms of Jesus! Keep hold of that image and we all will continue to pray you thru this.

Keep the Son in your eyes!!

From a few PM's from Craig, he seems to have found his footing again and he and his family, a tight knit group of strong faith, will KEEP THE SON in their eyes, individually and collectively.

Good point, Galen... God knows all and has been there, done that.

Line in John Wayne movie, about settling the then far West, "When people get there, the law soon follows, and they soon figure out, God was already there ahead of them!"

Amen
