Benbow's Surgery- Setback on Easter- More prayers sought-Update last post

Got a call this afternoon from a # I dind't recognize...it was our own Galen Benson, aka BenBow!

His surgery went well...the surgeon did some twisting and turning things to get more of the bloody tumor then other had done... found it just started to attach a few places to parts of the bowel so they resectioned those area and Galen said he felt pretty great...but knew when the epidural wears off, he'll be hurting till the other meds kick in...but he's pleased, grateful to God things went well and that the surgeon was encouraged and pleased with the results!

He said it was ok to post cause he'll be laid up a while yet in the Horse Pistol.

Benson, ole Hoss, Prayers for less pain, quick healing and a return to normal functions soon with new vigor and energy!

Keep the Son in your eyes, bro!

UPDATE: Easter AM, Galen has had a drug reaction and is coveting prayers.

Hey got the puter up and running and the body has quit complaining enough to post a bit. Surgeon was happy with the outcome. She said she took out 5lbs of tumor. I just had a visit from Adler and his dad so I feel pretty encouraged right now. Adler says it's more fun to visit than to get visited.
I keep dozing off here so I'll check in later.

Galen just emailed me from his phone...

He's asking for renewed prayers due to a drug interaction or an allergic drug reaction he's suffering.

It sounds a bit concerning in the brevity of his request!

Got 2 notes from Galen today. First in response to my query last night asking if the reaction had been stopped and was he doing better...his reply said the pain was awful and he just wanted the day to be over.

Today, I get another note saying the naseau and pain were better, more manageable and he asked that I thank you ALL for the prayers!
