I just found out a friend of mine in Baton Rouge was killed in a horrible accident this morning. He was only 38 and had a beautiful wife and two little kids.  He, his cousin, and two others died in the crash. Jake and his cousin were burned beyond recognition.  They couldn't even salvage their wedding rings.

Please lift up Jake's wife, Melissa and their little ones.  Jake's cousin was also 38 and was just married recently, I believe.

This makes number 7 in less than 4 months.  I'd suggest that if you haven't already done it, get your affairs in order.  You never know when your last minute might be.

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

More prayers for the families involved.

I recall you've had other posts and from your words this must be weighing heavily on you.

I offer prayers too, for you to find peace amidst all that has been happening. May God bring you insight and understanding...that these things are not of his 'doing.' God doesn't play puppeteer ending lives at will.

He allows this fallen world to unfold in sometimes tragic ways, but always holds the promise of eternal life to those who will but believe and confess.

Our reward is not here on Earth, but wrapped in His loving arms.

May the Holy Spirit minister to all who have lost so much, and to you as well, my friend.

Keep the Son in your eyes.
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

Prayers from here to all of the families...
Remember...aim small miss small...

I always hit where I'm aiming, but rarely where I'm looking.

You said it brother, you never know when your times up. We just have to be sure we're ready.
Prayers sent for all concerned.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength:they shall mount up with wings as eagles:they shall run and not be weary:and they shall walk and not faint......Isaiah 40;31
