I admit this is the first time I have been on this section of tadgang and have not always been the most devout christian but I and my family are watching my mother cling to life due to an infection that started out as a gall bladder problem that escalated to pancreatitus. She has been on support for 2 weeks now and is putting up a fight. It has been very hard on my dad as they have been married 43 yrs and he has to watch her go through this. Everyone knows that their folks will pass but my mother is only 62 and it seems to young, she has always been very active and quite healthy and I thought she would be around into her 80s. At this point I dont know what else to do and am looking for all the help we can get, please help by praying and I will try to reafirm my faith and continue to be positive.

Prayers from Georgia on the way

Prayers continue for your Mom and your family. It is hard to watch parents struggle with health issues. May His healing touch be on her and His Grace wrap your family in strength, peace and love to accept His will and find strength in letting go.

First of all, thanks for your prayers, and it seems my mother continues to improve or at least hold her own. Today she is having her gall bladder removed and the Doc will abride any bad infected areas if there are any remaining. The infection she has is 75% fatal and the doctors are impressed that she is doing this well, 8 days ago they wanted us to discontinue support and let her go.I am blown away by the support of people on here and across the U.S. all the way to Alaska who have sent prayers and turned this thing into nothing short of a miricle. I would like to say thank you to all for your support as we continue to ask for prayers to see this to the end.Regards,Don.

Prayers for Mom from our home tonight.

Doc Nock

Prayers of thanksgiving, but lets not forget WHO made her recovery so far, possible. Our prayers are but the start. His power is the Glory, not us.

May God's will continue and we continue to pray for strength and His will to be done.

My mom continues to fight and seems to be heading in the right direction to the astonishment of her doctors. This is a lady who has always been strong willed and determined and I know this and prayer have made the difference in her beating the statistics so far. Marsha is my mothers name and your continued support will be appreciated.

DWT, I didn't pay attention to this section of TG until a couple of months ago.  But since I did I have come to know the sincerity of those that walk here and commit to prayer.  Prayers to your Mom from me......Ray......

Update on my mom:
My mom has been moved from ICU to select care which is between icu and general admission. She continues to slowly improve and on saturday was off her breathing machine for 9 hrs breathing on her own. She has been setting in a chair reading gardening magazines for as long as she can, she is a little weak. Doctors say at least a couple more weeks here and then maybe a couple in a nursing home. This is still along way from the doctors saying 3weeks ago we should consider discontinuing life support. In the beginning the doctor gave her a less than 5 percent chance of beating this infection and do to the power of prayer and gods hearing shes kind of a little miracle. My mother is only 4' 11'' and I told her that the natives in alaska were already carving totems to tell her story but nedded more info to make use of the whole tree. Thanks and god bless.

Doc Nock

that's pretty funny right there DWT about the totem...when she's better, she's gonna smack you!

What a blessed day it'll be when she's strong enough to take a wooden spoon to yer behind like when you were a kid!  :)

Thanks for sharing the encouraging news about her progress. May those great reports keep coming and your 4'11" mom sit high on the totem and declare His glory and honor for her recovery.
