prayer for a friend

PLEASE say a prayer for a friend of a good friend of mine. i do not know the mans name but if he is a friend of a good friend of mine he is a good man. i do know he does not have much longer untill he goes to the other side. please prey for guidance, safty and a better place for him. PLEASE prey for my friend as well, he is taking this hard and he is a GREAT man, a friend to us all, salt of the earth and a brother to me. THANKS to all!

Lord of Mercy,

Hear us now we pray. We have a request of prayer from one of our brothers, for one of our brothers. We have no names, but YOU know the need already. Here is another prime example of why we need You in our lives. It seems that this is a situation where only You can intervene and bring peace.
So often, to watch another suffer is the worst kind of pain. In fact, it is harder than if we were experiencing ourselves. We want You to take away the pain and suffering.Letus remember to cry out You, Father-and to also be patient. All things are in Your time, not ours. Help us to be thankful for this. You are in control, and we know that this is just a "valley"-just like the valley of death that Jesus spoke of. Yet we have no fear, for You are with us. We pray for Your comfort right now.
Help us to remember in this hard time, yes, in ALL hard times that You are with us, and that this too shall pass.
Please comfort our hearts and fill us with Your security
