I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Stickbow

64" 47# rosewood DD689

Excellent condition. It was my wife's fathers bow. I dont think he ever shot it.

I made up some fir shafts and came across some Bear Greenies with bleeders never shot. They really zip.

Hoping to kill a Deer this year with it.

You will just get all addicted to that bow and not want to buy or shoot anything else, plus it has my username initials on it...the wise thing to do would be to sell me that bow and cut your losses...there are those that imply the 64 inch bows are not as fast...in my limited experience they are wrong

Folks. Anyone know what the "L" means on the K Special?  Its after the serial and amo number. Underneath all by itsself. Thanks.

damascusdave

There seem to be a lot of guesses about what those additional stamped letters are about...certainly not all the bows of a particular model have them...which KS are you talking about?

I have a '59 Kodiak (non special) 60" with that "L".

Its on my 1959 kodiak special. Ive seen it on other 59s too. Just curious.

Here's a '59 64" Kodiak I found a couple years ago. Original condition, and fun to shoot   :)

Looks like that 59 has the original grip and strike plate in very nice condition...not sure about the featherrest...amazing in a way when you think that is 55 years old

I intend to refinish the bow before I string it for the first time.
