Ran across this one.
64" Kodiack Special #61
Gray back,brown belly
Maple and a dark wood riser, leather grip
Ser.# XF910

Any info as to age, ect. appreciated
were it worth the trouble? Huh? What trouble?

1955 if it has water transfer decals, 1956 if it has silkcreens. They were made in 3 different lengths, 60", 64", 68" and cost more than a Kodiak back in the day. Kinda rare at 61#,
I was born with nothing and I still have most of it left.

That would be a great shooter if you are comfortable with the weight. The early KS is a superb hunting weapon I have a 64" 1956 KS 60# it is a rocket launcher.   :archer2:

Nice Find Dan, especially at that weight.

My wife shoots a 1955 KS and loves it so much, she refuses custom bows.

Hers is green and Brown, Yours with Gray glass has me a bit flustered.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Re: green vs. gray glass: Can't find the site for reference (will keep looking), but have read that the original gray can age to a light green. Have a '57 KS w/ a nice sage-colored belly (blends in nicely w/ the high desert flora).
