A friend of mine got this bow a while back and I'm trying to find a little info on it. It's a FASCO 68" AMO high 30#-low 40# recurve. I believe it was made in 1960 and appears to be a well made bow with the engraving.Tony

It looks like a Fasco 300 which came in 66" and 69" and someone added some engraving to it. Sold new for 84.50 in 1963.

I believe that the engraving is factory, I read that some had basket weave or oak leaf engraving and some had ivory and ebony inlays.

Tony, the vintage bow market is a little on the down side these days. In todays market being a collectable bow that is not all that common I would give it a value of 150.00 to 250.00. And if two people wanted it in an auction situation it could bring a little more. I would hang on to it. It is a neat Fasco bow and another like it may not come around for awhile.

Thanks guys for your comments. This bow is probably a 7 out of 10 rating. Should it be refinished or leave as is? Tony

If it were a bow I was going to sell I would leave it original. Some collectors prefer them that way.

I wouldn't refinish that bow, as 7 of 10 is not that bad.  Altho, I don't hesitate to put a first class refinish on a good one that is in real bad shape.  FASCO bows with engraving are darn hard to find, and they were made by some excellent bowyers.
