I'm curious as to who might have a copy.

Tox Collector

I have two copies!  It's a neat book!

Do you have two copies of everything?   :)

Yes, interesting  book on elephant hunting with bows.

Tox Collector

No -- in some cases I have even more copies of a given archery title.  It depends on how interesting and special I think book is.  Folks collect multiple Bear bows, e.g., and some folks have a number of the Bear knife, file and stone kits [I only have one of each of these].

E.g., I have a number of copies of Klopsteg's first edition of "Turkish Archery" [1934] that was limited to 100 copies.  I thought that it was a seminal work on Turkish Archery, and I especially like the red quarter leather and gray cloth binding.

We're all motivated a little differently.   :)

Bofari is definitely a collector's book.

For some reason I never acquired a copy of Bofari. I also am missing the 1934 Turkish Archery. I have the later edition.....

nr

does anyone know how many copies of bofari were printed?

Liquid Amber

I believe it was published by what we call a "vanity press" in the book trade and likely a 1000 copies or less.

It is interesting that the hunter is only identified by his first name.
