I need a string for an old Bear 76er, but there is no amo length printed on the bow, it may have been on a decal but if so it is missing.  Were all 76ers the same length? And if so what?  I measured this one and got 56", but I'm not sure if I measured correctly.  I started at the string groove and measured the bow by following the contour of the limbs to the opposite string groove?  Was this the right way to do it?  Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys,
Went to the local shop today and got a string, it is indeed a 58" bow. (The shop was closed Sunday, and yesterday due to the holiday)...we're good to go!
