Help with Bear Super Kodiak

Can anyone tell me what the original strike plate and shelf material was on a blue stripe like I have pictured above?

I think it would look sharp with white calf hair as the strike plate, but I would also like to know what was original.

The shelf material was white Bear hair and the strike plate material was white/black calf hair. The 1976 came with a Bear weather rest [ srick on rubber finger]. Yes it will look real cool.

I'm sorry guys I didn't know if you covered that but the first super k is a 69 according to the serial number.  In 70 I believe is when they started the serial numbers with a K.

Mine is a 68 Super Kodiak 60" and 45# serial number 8Z2705
