HELP pearson sherwood recurve

Picked this up its all wood(no idea what kind) no glass. say ben pearsone NO.501 sherwood on it
in red. Some of the writing is wore off so cant read it all. I will get some pics up later today.
Anyone have clue about this?thanks<><

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

Thanks jack I seen it at a gun show and walked  passed it a few times.Then i thought wait a min. thats all wood...its gotta be a old one.Not sure if would be wise to brace it and dont think I will.Thanks for the info<><

I noticed a very slight thin crack near the tip It is near the string groove and is shallow. Never braced it and never seen this until now. Should I have it refinished or leave it alone? Don't plan on shooting it since its old and all wood. Any ideas? I will posts some pics later toady.<><
