Hey guys, just looking for some information on collecting broadheads. I emailed Greg Schwehr about joining the ABCC, hope this is still the correct contact and that I hear back soon. Also, what books are availabe out there for identifying old broadheads?

Anyone have some doubles of old broadheads that they want to sell? I only have about 30 heads in my collection so I need to get about 1000 more  :D

Thanks,

Kevin.

TRAP

The best advice I can give you about BH collecting is "don't get started"

Just kidding of course, well, sort of.

It's alot of fun

Ed,
It's been a couple of years since I have been to the Historical Archery Preservatory, but yes I have been there. Pretty impressive and always a gracious host. If you ever get the invite by all means make the trip.

Ken Thanks for the reply !!!  I havent heard from any of the other guys and have
wondered if I said something wrong or if everyone is very busy.I didnt intend to do
anything forbidden as far as trading or $$ for heads.

You had stated - I could set someone up pretty good, if they are interested in "The
Whole Thing".Daryl posted - do we need to talk? Is that about selling head's? I
reviewed the guideline post and there is nothing about selling so im just wondering.

I dont want to get off on the wrong foot here in TG because i believe there are a lot of
great guys here and i have learned a lot and have enjoyed reading all of the old
posts.I havent logged in untill just recently because im somewhat of a new soul to trad
and i feel i need to learn more and have a lot of questions.Please let me know what if
any lines were crossed.....

Does anyone know what the value is on a (small) ropers indian broadhead with the backwards flutes?

bowhunterfrompast

The small Roper's Indian is the rarest of the Roper's but value is what someone is willing to pay you for anything. It also depends on condition.

Can you post a picture ?

luv2bowhunt;
You are going to need about 3000 more, not 1000.
You are also going to need many, many, display cases, or keep them in a 5 gal "display" bucket.
Garkane;
My memory is not real great but I thought I responded to your questions on Broadheadtalk.com but didn't hear back from you.
Shane;
You have a conflicting description of the Ropers. "Small" and then "backwards"  small in relation to??? Backwards is which way?

TRAP

I put the brakes on at 300 heads, but I still want a few that I dont have.

You might want to contact Larry Whiffen. He's got a great collection sitting in the Wisconsin Bowhunters headquarters in Clintonville, WI. They could probably give you contact information.

raghorn

luv2bowhunt;

Did you get the info you needed/wanted?

Shane Reed:
I answered you about the Small Ropers but you didn't answer my return question.
