I read where some guys talk about having a certain year Bear razorhead. Is there a way to tell what year the razorheads are? We have a couple of 1964 Kodiaks at home and I would like to get some 1964 Razorheads to shoot out of them for turkey and deer season.Just wondering how you tell what year they are.

Thanks for the help,

David

David, there is a thread in here somewhere that has pictures of all three, '56, 60' and 64' common differences. If I can find it I'll bring it ttt.

The cutouts on the '64 Razorheads come to a point in front. They are the shape of a half tear drop, split down the middle. The earlier Razorheads are more "D" shaped. The '64 will be easier to find and not quite as expensive.

The site may load slowly, you can skip the intro. You'll need some time to go through the site. At the bottom, select site map. At the site map, choose D-F, then scroll down to Fred Bear Inventions, part way down you will see all the Bear Broadheads.  This is one of my favorite sites. They have updated it with lots of information for collectors, history buffs and just about everyone.

Try this site, scroll down to Collecting Bear Archery by Gene Hopkins, then at his site, look on left for Bear Archery Collecting. You will find information to boogle the mind.

If you still have not had enough, Google: Al Reader collecting Bear Archery.
