I thought at first you were posting the 1954 compass handled Kodiak 2 I have out there, but the item number was different.

The bow is a 1965 Kodiak Special in the length of 69". I have one identical to it, same year, same length, same "DISPLAY" marking. Bear used many different models from many different years for the DISPLAY bows.

widest **** auction ever. Wade do they put the #age on there?

Wade,

What's you're understanding of the "Display" mark/stamp.

Are such bows shootable or repairable-and-then-shootable? Some of these bows have three  drilled holes in the sight window for the display arrows. Others bows have only the "Display" stamp.

Bill,

The "Display" marked bows that I have owned all seemed to be functionally OK. Most have the three holes in the sight window for attaching the arrows. I don't know the criteria used to select bows for use as "Display" models. They were used at dealer shops for display. One I have was purchased from the Bear Museum. Have never seen any documentation from Bear about the "Display" bows.

I could of bought a TAMERLANE for $125 last week. But it had DISPLAY stamped in it (looks like they used a metal stamp). It also had 3 holes in it like above mentioned. So I steered clear! Does it hurt the value any?
