I picked this bow up at Compton shoot last weekend and I just had to share. It started out as a 36"block of museum grade Bocote I picked out at Kalamazoo Trad. Show in Feb. Jim Jones was with me and the maker "Firefly Bows" I knew it would be a looker but it turned out even nicer then I thought.  The limb tips are mastodon tusk.

Next two pic's look like sand with lumbs of grass....sweet!

Thanks guy's....yes they are great shooters and quiet.

I have a block of wood left over that I would like to have some footed arrows made up with a midway foot also, I think that would look nice with the bow. But I have not made
those before. Would anyone like a project?

TRAP

Hink, I bet someone like Ted Fry at Raptor Archery would do some custom footed arrows for you.  Might check with him.

That bow is STUNNING, WOW!!!!!!

Wow,gorgeous bow!!  Mastodon tusk??  Holy Pleistocene where'd you dig that up?

JavelinaHink

James....The mastodon was gave to me from the guy that had the wood..he had a few pieces this one was 3x4 and Jim said it was hard to get the tips from that.but there just for looks, string groove is cut past the tusk..
Thanks Trap for the heads up on the arrows, I really should learn how to do that.
