I posted this up in the Pow Wow, but I'm putting it here too in the hopes of catching some of you historian types online. I have a line on a Fred Anderson Cascade Mtn longbow - I don't as yet know the model. I was wondering if anyone owned one and what your opinions of this Hill style bow are. Also, the bow is 66", 59@26, would it draw out to my 29 1/2" without stacking up a bunch? Any idea as to what it is worth? I have seen some photos that show it to be in pretty good shape, maybe an 8.5 out of 10. Thank you.

I think all of Fred's bows are first class, and since he's pretty much retired, you better grab it if the price is right for you.  His bows do not show up too often, but I've seen most of his used bows go in the $325-425 range.

Also, I would think 29.5" should not be a problem for a 66" bow, however, you probably know that you will be pulling close to 70# at that draw.

The ones I have seen for sale are high priced. Go for it.
