I just picked this bow up from a fellow Tradgang member. I remember seeing afew of these bows around @ shoots in the late 80's and early 90's. I always liked the looks of them. Gene McGlashen was the Bowyer.I still have the Aug/Sept 1994 issue of Trad Bowhunter that had an interview with Gene. This is a really fine bow and it shoots as good as it looks. One owner and in great shape.Thought you guys might find it interesting.

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

Kendall, thanks for sharing! Gene is a great bowyer, especially selfbows, and genuine guy. He made a great Grummley replica, also. Ron LaClair posted a bow back a few months ago he made. A very fine craftsmen! He had a battle a few years back over a "used" bow in court that people really close to him know about. If any of you  get the chance to try one, DO, you won't be dissapointed! Hope to hear from you Gene! Good shootin, Steve

Steve, Thanks for the history. Here's another shot of it. Horn tips and overlay.I think the riser is Walnut and the limbs are Red Elm. I've been shooting the heck out of it! It's really a sweet shooting bow.

Hi, I'm Roger from Michigan and I have one of Gene's bows. It has one broken lemb and I need to get in touch with him. Dose anyone know how to reach him? It's a great bow and I would like to get it repaired.
Thanks, Roger
