I just bought my wife an old Bear recurve so she can start shooting with me and I want to put a sight on it for her, it already has holes in it so why not use them.

I am looking for something like the sights shown below, especially the one on the bottom...

or, possibly one of these shorter Bear factory installed sights like you find on the FB take down or, as in this picture, on a Bear Super Magnum...

If anyone has one that they want to part with, or know where I can find one please let me know.

Do yourself a favor and get her an original Reynolds sight.  They were the best.  I have several extra Reynolds sight bars and bases.  The original slides are hard to come by but they pop up on e8ay not and then.  Let me know if you are interested.

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

jcar315,

Thanks for the sighting on e8ay, but I already lost out on two auctions for sights there so I figured I would come here to see if anyone had one. I've got a Bear Kodiak Magnum for her and a 58" Bear Polar, both in her weight, I just needed a sight and we are ready to roll.

I am looking at the auction you mentioned though.

What I would really love to find would be one of those Bear sights that are mounted into the sight window, but that's just me. I think they are really cool looking.

I have a friend that has a sight like the one in the super 48 but it is the long one, for the Polars or Tamerlanes. Its in the origional box.I know he wants a pretty penny for it.The short sight above is about 3.50" long.

Larry
Found it, its just under 6" and only has 1 pin.
You are welcome to it.
But if it was me, I would take Rick up on his offer
there are a few nice ones in that box.
Just let me know.
