Easter is over. Hopefully the Easter eggs were found with more luck than names were found for this old bowfishing stuff. LOL. Sorry to report nobody even got on the scoreboard for consideration as the winner.

These are the identities of 8 of the 9 items. Someone else will have to identify the ninth item...

Fred Bear – Wooden Bowfishing reel in center. Fred's earliest wooden design that I have found that he actually marketed.

Basil Hughes – Wooden Bowfishing reel  at right with metal bracket. Basil was one of Fred's earliest bow hunting pals. Basil killed a moose with the bow in 1933, twelve years before Fred killed his first moose.

Jim Robinson - Top arrow – Fish Point made from a screw driver blade with a single barb made from a finishing nail - Barb wrapped with wire.

Jim Robinson – Second Arrow from Top – Fish Point made from a screw driver blade with a single reversal barb made from a finishing nail.

Ben Morgan – Third Arrow from Top – Knife blade design with barbs riveted to alum ferrule, Birch arrow with aluminum nock.

Bob McGill – Fourth Arrow from Top – Fish point made with nail in ferrule - Single barb – Line loop made of wire at base of ferrule. Self nock arrow. A couple of these were sold at auction some time ago.

Jim Robinson – Bottom Arrow – Multi Barbed Blade made from screw driver blade that is mounted in a brass cartridge case for a ferrule. Tapered shaft with aluminum nock – hole in nock for line.

Doc - That is quite a photograph...

Just wish we had the film footage to watch what happened next...

When Bob Markworth releases that arrow...

Just hope that string from the fish point going up into the air is not tangled around the rod tip...

When the rod tip pulls downward, the resulting upward movement of the butt of that rod could cause some serious damage to his buddy holding the rod and reel in that precarious manner...

We've shot lots of big fish in big waters using the line attached to a reel, but always wound the first 30-40 yards of line on a bowfishing reel, then to the rod and reel.
