What can you tell me about this bow.
Bear Polar #6H312 66" 36# very good condition. Bow on the left.

Whats a bow like this worth. The boys having fun shooting it and really shoots really good. Hardly a blemish on the bow

You will hear on this site that the bow is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. It looks nice and I have sold several like it in the 150.00 range. Yours has some nice looking woods.

Does that Black metal piece come off and some sort of sight can go there?

They were sold with the style you have with a brush rest and some had what was called the premeir sight. There was a sliding sdjustable sight on those models. This sight would have been where your plate and brush rest are now.

The Archer's Bible (Fred Bear) has a few pictures of the sight and how to use it. Was a pretty nice site, actually. Almost like a military sight

So is that the sight bracket or the arrow rest?
Looks like there's no rug on the shelf so must shoot off of something. Was the polar considered to be a target bow or more like the Kodiak? At this weight was certainly not for hunting unless small game hunting, but the 66 inch was more a target length.

Yes there is a rest at the bottom of the bracket

They were target bows and there was a brush rest on the bottom of the plate. The brush if wore out needs replacing and the brushes can be found on that auction site from time to time. Not easy to come by but they are out there. Some have cut doen mascara brushes to fit the need.
